The French visual artist Philippe Parreno explores how art can engage audiences, and how the presentation of a work can create immersive experiences.

Parreno produces sculptures, including his well‑known series of glowing, flashing theatre marquees, as well as drawings, video and performance. Through both physical and emotional means, he seeks to shift the audience’s perception of time and place.
