Opening – Picasso – The Code of Painting

We’re absolutely delighted to finally open the doors to the exhibition Picasso – The Code of Painting! Join us for the opening celebration outside PoMo on Dronningens gate, as we mark the launch of our second exhibition.

PROGRAMME

We will serve Alcohol-free refreshments on arrival.

11:00: Speeches and live music outside PoMo before the doors open.

The museum will remain open for the rest of the day, until 19:00.

Picasso – The Code of Painting presents work from Pablo Picasso’s late period – a time when he radically reimagined what painting could be, constantly challenging its limits.

The exhibition spans all three of our exhibition floors and features more than 50 paintings and a series of 13 hand-painted ceramic plates.

It runs from 1 August to 26 October, and is a collaboration between PoMo, Trondheim; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Kunsten Museum of Modern Art, Aalborg; and Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Please note that capacity inside the building is limited, so there may be queues. A valid ticket is required to visit the exhibition. We recommend booking your ticket in advance – or reserving a free ticket if you’re a member.

Tickets are issued in time slots, which indicate your entry time to the museum. Once inside, you’re welcome to stay as long as you like, regardless of your time slot.

If you’re using a membership or artist ticket, please bring valid proof of eligibility along with your entry ticket.
