Welcome to a talk about artistic research!

In collaboration with NTNU, we invite you to a talk about artistic research, as part of the 2026 Research Days in Trondheim.
Artistic research is a growing field of research that creates knowledge through artistic practice. Through creative processes, artists and researchers explore questions, experiences and perspectives that can offer new insights and challenge established ideas about how research is carried out.
When does art become research? The conversation explores how artistic research can shed light on things in ways that traditional research methods cannot, and how it can give us new ways of exploring and understanding complex questions.
The conversation will be led by Hans Olav Brenner, journalist and presenter at NRK.
NTNU Rector Tor Grande will welcome the audience.
Music: Anna Ueland, NTNU Ambassador 2026.
The event is free and open to everyone. We recommend getting a ticket in advance to make sure you have a seat.
