Every Sunday we invite children and adults to be inspired by the artwork in our exhibition. We will talk about art, ideas and artists, and explore our creativity using different techniques and expressions.
When?
We run two workshops every Sunday.
11:30-13:00: recommended age 5 to 7 years
14:00-15:30 PM: recommended age 8 to 10 years
These are just recommendations – we are flexible!
Price
50 NOK per child. We recommend booking tickets in advance, as places are limited.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, who will need to pay the standard museum entrance fee.
Hannah Ryggen Triennale x PoMo
This Sunday, we draw inspiration from the Hannah Ryggen Triennale, which this year explores the theme MATER – a word that can mean both mother and material. At PoMo, we are currently showing a work by the artist Louise Bourgeois, who, among other things, created art about motherhood while exploring different materials.
You can experience her piece Arch of Hysteria on the second floor. The doll-like textile sculpture hangs from the ceiling, displaying two torsos stitched together with visible seams.
Using this artwork as a starting point, we will reflect on what it means to be a mother, and we will work with textiles. Perhaps you’ll create your own piece of art that tells a story about what you’ve learned during the workshop?
